We just wanted to thank you for all that your brokerage ‘family” did for us during our tragic loss while selling the boat.

They say the happiest times are when you buy your boat and sell your boat. Ours is bittersweet as our 21 years of family times spent on Mirage has come to an end. Josh was very diligent to see that she was going to another caring owner, and he succeeded. It would have been difficult to see her at the same dock and slip, so it’s best that she’s going north to Michigan. In addition to Josh, please convey to the following:

I just wanted to drop you a note about how pleased I am about the recent sale of our C320. I gave Josh Johnson a a call last month about selling our C320. I’m going to be be racing my MC Scow this season and didn’t want our Catalina to just sit. Not only did Josh find us a buyer within 3 days, he handled everything. I’m a United pilot and it’s our high season. If it were legal I could fly everyday as we’re short staffed. I had no time to fix anything. Josh scheduled the survey and the 3 maintenance items that resulted from it. We were closed money in my account in about 1 month. Josh, must be slipping a little though, he sold our C30 five years ago in 2 days. There is probably a boat sale record there, both boats in less than 1 week.

I just wanted to advise you how pleased I was in using your brokerage in the sale of my boat. It was a Morris 28 named “Brilliant “. I knew it would not move quickly because it was not popular in our area plus it was very expensive for it’s size. We hope the new owner will have it well taken care of for another 30 years. We just closed on the sale of our boat today and I wanted to make sure and let you know how happy we are with our experience with Burke Devereaux. I wanted to write you anyway to let you know how much we have appreciated working with Josh. We appreciate his guidance and jumping on things quickly. My schedule has me traveling a lot so it makes it hard to be available to look at boats at times. Josh worked around my schedule and locked in on what we were looking for. I guess its probably normal but that changed at least two or three times. He worked us through features that we thought we didn’t want and features that we knew we wanted. Even those changed significantly. We sincerely appreciated the educational aspect as we moved toward finding the right boat. It’s a step up in size for us so having that guidance we felt was critical.Josh helped us put the right deal together so it worked for both us and the owner. The very first offer was what we closed on. That part too was no stress and pleasant. He articulated what each party wanted/needed and we got it done without any haggling.
